Key Responsibilities

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Manage and own network security design, configuration, and the tuning of network security appliances.
  • Manage and monitor perimeter network security.
  • Leverage tools and resources to detect and respond to security events, anomalies, and incidents.
  • Perform security service administration including: Intrusion Detection/Prevention, SPAM Filtering, Web Filtering, Endpoint Detection and Response and other mitigation processes.
  • Makes recommendations on risk mitigation efforts and develops mitigation plans including but not limited to incident response and disaster recovery. 
  • Performs and or coordinates fixes from vulnerability findings, system/application vulnerability assessments, network security architecture reviews and risk assessments.
  • Develop and document new security standards, policies, and security procedures. Ensures overall compliance with and adherence to corporate security policies.
  • Assist in managing on-call incident escalation, off-hours maintenance work for incidents, emergency change requests, and general maintenance.
  • Prepare reports that document security incidents.

Skills, Experiences

Background Profile:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of applicable experience in cybersecurity.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Networking, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with security control tools, vulnerability management, and security awareness training.
  • Experience with email perimeter protection (Mimecast).
  • Proficient with SIEM/Vulnerability tools.
  • Experience implementing, managing, and troubleshooting authentication protocols including LDAP, RADIUS, SAML, SSO, and Multi Factor Authentication methods.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or SSCP (Preferred)
